Also of special interest is the correspondence between Patoski and Selena’s father concerning Abraham’s wish for Patoski to ghost write a biography of Selena.

This collection consists of materials related to Bill Minutaglio’s book City on Fire, chronicles the explosion of two ships in 1947 that devastated Texas City, Texas and his biography on Molly Ivins. The Ray Benson archive includes material documenting Benson’s music career from 1971-2017. Majority of the collection includes promotional articles, including an article from John Morthland; and awards. Included in the collection are photographs of Benson with President George W. Bush, Laura Bush, and others; Benson’s boots and concert jacket; and correspondence with Dolly Parton and others. The folder titles preceding a semicolon reflect Benson’s original descriptions.

This collection consists of research materials for the book,Dallas 1963 by Bill Minutaglio and Steven L. Davis. Much of the collection is an assortment of research on Lafitte, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Dallas, Texas, and photos taken during the 1960’s. This collection also includes emails and drafts of Dallas 1963.
